At 14 months and 7 weeks, these little ones are destined to be the best of friends, I'm sure! Here is a small sneak peek for mom and dad . . . finished in the nick of time before vacation! The studio will be closed between tomorrow and September 9th, and we'll return after Labor Day with more than a few fabulous changes around here. Stay tuned!

So many newborns this summer! What a treat. :) Introducing sweet K. and adorable big brother R. It was such fun photographing this family and chatting. Here's a quick sneak peek . . .

And finally . . . I had to include this one. Dad said I should take a quick snap of kitty, who was not supposed to be on the bed. One thing is for certain--when you have not one but two little boys to care for, misbehaving kitties are pretty far down on the list of concerns. : ) Thanks again, C. family!

I was so pleased to meet the E. family and photograph sweet Miss I. She is such a beautiful, happy baby--and the latter is not easy to achieve after a long drive from New York to the Wayne studio. Thank you, E. family! It was a pleasure (and doubly so because, as it turns out, mom goes way back with one of my best photography friends, the incredibly talented Rebecca!).

Here's a small sneak peek; your gallery will be ready very soon!

A quick housekeeping note: The studio will be closed between August 21st and September 9th (!!). I'm in a mad dash to complete all outstanding client galleries this week before the break. Can you believe that summer is almost over? Didn't it just start?

it was a very good hair day

I was so happy that I was able to squeeze in the M. family last week. Sweet A. was just adorable--as you will soon see--and had the best hair I have seen on a baby this year (and he has had lots of competition!). Thank you so very much, M. family! The last time I said "grazie mille" (thank you very much or, literally, a thousand thanks!) I was in Rome thanking more than one vendor of delicious stracciatella. But today I have to say it to the K. family, who have a good bit of distance between the studio in Wayne and their home in Florence, Italy. Thank you, S.! It was lovely to see you again and photograph the ever-adorable J. and V. I'm in love with the entire session and here's just a small peek.

get ready . . .

I am so far behind in sneak peeks that a few of you will be getting "sneak peeks" and full galleries nearly at the same time. Whew! I've been shooting much more than usual this month and also had a quick trip to California (and oh, taught a workshop!) and am looking forward to catching up on everything else soon. It will happen! I declare it to be so! :)

For the third (extra)ordinary workshop, we tried something a bit different for the "real home" family session on the second day. For the first two workshops we did indeed go to a "real" home, but our "clients" for the day were friends of mine (who are also clients, but I digress . . .) so there was a certain level of comfort there that one wouldn't necessarily have at a stranger shoot. For our July workshop, however, we kept it completely real! The R. family graciously volunteered to host the paparazzi for the morning and I photographed a family I'd never met before in a home I'd never seen before . . . in other words, what I do most days! This time I had a lot of company, though--no pressure!

We had a wonderful time at the third extraordinary workshop in early July--so much fun, in fact, that I'll need two blog posts to cover it!

One of the highlights for me was photographing a few of my past clients at the studio and seeing just how much they've grown--astonishing! Thank you for participating! (Oh, and one image is from someone I see everyday; she was eager to show off her "poses" so I don't suppose anyone told her that mommy doesn't pose kids!).

Can you hear the giggles? What fun I had on my "playdate" with V. and H. Their laughter and joie de vivre was contagious. Here's a quick sneak peek for the P. family--enjoy!
