SCENES FROM A MINI-SESSION

It doesn't get much better than a knee-slapping guffaw, now does it?  There may or may not have been a fun-loving dad gesticulating wildly and hurling sweet treats into the air.  I'll never tell. :D

RAINED OUT

Unlike the Phillies, I was in fact rained out yesterday for my holiday mini-sessions.  Curses! (Oh, and by the way . . . I only know that the Phillies played because a client told me this morning and then my husband mentioned it later.  Just putting that out there, lest I be accused of posing as someone who does know a thing or two about sports ;)).  I was able to fit in a few mini-sessions today (thank you all for your flexibility!) and for those who couldn't make it today, we will work something out.  I may need a shoehorn to fit you into the busy fall schedule, but it will happen!

So what did I do yesterday during the deluge?  What else? Proof!  Here are just a few from galleries about to go up, plus a little someone I know who is very happy that Halloween is next week.  Mini-session sneak peeks will be up with my next entry.

Hope everyone stayed nice and dry yesterday and enjoyed the gorgeous weather today!

And my own little Red, keeping a close eye out for the wolf but mostly just basking in the glow of having a new costume.

COUSINS

Yesterday I got to go to one of my favorite parts of the city and see Miss S. again, who I photographed right before her little sister T. came along.  And as a bonus, I got to meet her cousin J. and some of the folks who clearly adore them. :)  Here is a little sneak peek for them . . . it was great seeing you again, K. family, and meeting more members of your clearly loving family!

Here's Miss S. picking berries at the beginning of the session . . . and giving her little sister a peck at the end.

Playground fun, plus a little strut that dad was really hoping we'd capture.  How adorable is that little hand-behind-the-back pose?

Sweet cousin J. in his contemplative and not-so-serious moments. :)

And finally, one of my instant faves from the session.  Can I hear a collective aww?  Thanks again, K. family!

ARDMORE SAFARI

Now THOSE are two words you don't often hear together . . . although it does put me in mind of the big Swain Africa Tours sign on Lancaster.  But I digress. :)

Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing this oh-so-fun family of five.  Mom is a very talented photographer in Berks County herself, so she knows that sometimes you just have to go on walkabout and wait for inspiration to strike.  How about instead of mixing up African and Australian references I just show the sneak peek?  Good?  Good.

There are many more to come, J.  Just the first ones I pulled . . .

The littlest one . . .

The silliest one . . .

Okay, maybe he has some competition. :) A hearty guffaw, and the whole family.

Two of my favorites.  An impromptu game of Red Light, Green Light run by Miss R.

 Wait for it . . .

Finally, a parting shot.  Until next time . . . .

BOYS! BOYS! BOYS!

This Elvis movie is before even my time, but for some reason it popped into my head as I looked at a few images from this Saturday's session.  Instead of Girls! Girls! Girls! we had quite the opposite, and what a hilarious bunch these guys--and their clearly loving parents--are!  We took a little walk to a creek near their house and then finished up with a game of Chinese Checkers and snacks.  I love it when sessions are as relaxed as this . . . and you can really see how the true personalities came out too. :)

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek, N. family.  It was wonderful spending the afternoon with you!

A quiet moment with R. (with crazy fun sunflare), who quickly moved from his contemplative state to extreme enthusiasm . . . over his goldfish. :)

And near the end of the session I got my favorite captures with R.'s older twin brothers. I think I love the unrestrained wackiness of the second shot more than the first, but we all know I'm weird that way. :)  Thanks again, N. family!
