Clients always ask me about this photo and it's one of my favorites too!

I had a wonderful time seeing an oh-so-grown-up Miss E. and her big brother N. (just turned 4!) recently.  Here's a little sneak peek for the P. family!

I was so glad that Baby A. waited long enough for me to photograph his beautiful mama last weekend.  I had a wonderful time chatting with you, B., and capturing this special time.  I can't wait to meet your sweet little one soon.  (psst . . . B. is 39 weeks here . . . please, no fits of jealousy, blog readers! : ).)  Thanks again, B. & L.!

A reminder . . . Joyce Smith Photography will be closed from August 23-31st for family vacation.  All phone calls and e-mails will be returned beginning September 1st.  Also, mini-session announcements will be going out to clients upon my return (or tomorrow if I get a lot done tonight!) and will then be announced on the blog. Question: could these three girls be any more adorable?  I think not. I only wish that through these images you could somehow hear their sweet voices (as they spoke Dutch, no less!). I was thoroughtly charmed by them and had a wonderful time with their clearly happy, fun-loving family.  Here's just a little sneak peek for them!  Thanks to M., F., and Misses W., O., and L. :) It was a pleasure!

I will be uncharacteristically short on words this week as I prepare for vacation (and try to spend a little time on WordSmith ; )) but have lots of sneak peeks at the ready.  First up is Miss H. I was so pleased that I was able to photograph her last week. Many thanks to the G. family for the privilege!  

I always hope to have one *perfect* moment at each session--a moment when I click the shutter and know I have an instant favorite. That moment at this session was this one . . . such a wise old soul she is!

Now let's get started!  I was so pleased to see the R. family again.  The last time I saw them, Miss S. was around 6 months old.  Here she is then (left) and now (right)!  I think we're continuing the theme of beautiful curls from our last post!

S. was very excited to show off her adorable little brother. N. was asleep when I arrived (and who could resist an adorable sleeping shot?) but was soon wide awake and having a grand time.

We ended the session with a little princess dress up time.  Remember when dad was Prince Charming?  Thanks again, R. family! I'll be in touch soon with your full gallery.

Finally, I have to share my own princess, who turned 5 this week.  Oh the bittersweet passage of time. :) And just to tie this post together neatly, I'll mention that my princess keeps making big plans for "the little brother that's going to be in your tummy, Mommy."  There are NO plans for this right now, but maybe she knows something I don't.  ha ha!  I suppose when you're a princess you need to do all that you can to ensure a steady supply of adoring subjects and little brothers serve quite nicely!
