ROCK ON

I will be short on words today as it's busy busy busy here (loads of galleries to upload, new house closing, and frequent, unpredictable old/current house showings that require leaving and hence not working on the aforementioned galleries, anyone?). But who needs words when you have images of a stunner like Mr. C. here?  I was so happy to meet him, his dad, and his fabulous mom (hello, my cyber BFF!!! ;) ) at last. Enjoy the sneak peek and have a great trip later this week, W. family!

Whatever you do . . . don't laugh. (Gets them every time. ;))

PBC + PBK = FUN

Have you met Shannon Choe, founder of Premier Baby Concierge and Premier Sitter Services yet? No? You needn't look very far! Of course I would expect to find my client in the pages of this blog (those are her three darling girls frolicking in the rain just a few posts down) but when my Main Line Today "Best of . . . " issue arrived last week, there she was again!

Find her next this Sunday at Pottery Barn Kids in the King of Prussia Mall . PBK is known by my daughter as "the kids' store" and by me as the place she loves the play most at the mall--remind me again why I bought half the store when everything is ever so much more enticing when it's *there* instead of at home?.  But I digress as usual.  Find out all of the details regarding Premier Baby Concierge's  "Preparing for Baby" class here and enjoy!!!

Next up on the blog . . . a gorgeous boy who really knows how to rock his Kingsley. :)

And because I should also post a photo, here's one of my favorites from the archives. :) One of these days I'll get around to taking a snap of the 20x30 canvas I have of this one.

ONE.

Whenever I write a blog post, I must choose the category.  Newborn, babies, children, minutiae (i.e. my nonsensical ramblings), etc. Though she is growing bigger every day (and has big brother J.!), we're going to keep sweet Miss A. firmly in the "babies" category for her one year portraits. I was so pleased to meet J. and A. and their wonderful mom E. last week and capture this magical time before the baby cheeks begin to disappear (sniff sniff).

We moved up our session to avoid impending rain (and it was a good thing since it poured Saturday!) so I knew we'd have plenty of light, but I didn't realize that we'd have the *perfect* light in A.'s room.  I think I may have gasped when I saw it. : )

Peekaboo!

I was able to spend some time with big brother J. as well and sing some Phineas and Ferb songs. My daughter M. was mightily impressed when I later told her that J. could sing the Bow-Chicka-Bow-Wow song and she promptly requested a playdate with him. ha ha! And, while I did get some lovely photos of J. & A. together (promise, E.!), this is the one that has me smiling.

Oh, sweet girl. :)  Thanks again, B. family! Until next time!

AND THE RAIN, RAIN, RAIN CAME DOWN, DOWN, DOWN

I'll admit it--I obsess over the weather forecast right before a session when there's a chance of rain. While I don't need "perfect" lighting conditions to work (au contraire!), there are certain situations when rain just will not do. And deciding with the client to postpone only to have the rain stop moments before the session would have begun? Agony! In the case of last week's session, however, the showers caught us completely by suprise all of ten minutes after we started. With zero time to obsess over "will it or won't it" beforehand, I instead was able to focus my energy on making the most of the drizzly day.  Fortunately the C. girls (you have seen them on the blog several times before--LOVE them!!) were up for a little romp in the gardens with their umbrellas. It was so fun seeing all of you again and meeting beloved "G-ma" for the first time.  Here's a sneak peek on this Saturday--yet another rainy one! Stay dry, all!

Sweet A. soon after her first birthday. Could there be a better room to take a photo of her in her hanbok? And proud G-ma with her beautiful granddaughters.

Thanks again, C. family.  A pleasure as always!

ABSOLUTELY THE SWEETEST SISTERS

I was so humbled to learn that D., mom to these two sweet sisters, had been following my work for several years. And what better time to commission a portrait session at last than when baby number two made her entrance? It was such a pleasure working with you, D. & A.! Since we've been waiting so long, in a sense, for this sneak peek, let's not wait one moment more!  Meet beautiful big sister L. and her brand-new sister K.

There were so many fantastic images from this session that it was hard to choose just a few.  Thanks again, S. family!

Oh how I adore these tiniest of smiles . . .

. . . and get ready for this Olympian jump! :)

Until next time!
