Such a cliche, but oh so true!  It was lovely to see so many clients again during last weekend's workshop, but with each arrival at the studio I couldn't help but wonder how they all got so big! :)  Here's a little peek for their parents before their prints arrive; thank you for sharing them once again with me!

A full workshop recap including our "real world" home shoot is forthcoming.  For now, just a note that there are 4 spaces left for July's workshop and this will be the last workshop this year. While I have been asked about fall workshops, knowing what the fall is like in the portrait business, I cannot see that happening. :)  Finally, the special pricing for those who'd like to make one payment for the workshop will be gone after June 1st. If you're thinking about the July workshop, let me know soon!  I'm also happy to put you in touch with many of the attendees thus far, many of whom have written me the nicest. e-mails. ever.  Thank you all!

L. sported a dinosaur cap the last time I saw him.  I was not prepared for the big boy who arrived at the studio!

Mr. G. left his superhero cape at home but brought his "model look" and of course his dear pal Umpus. I promised him a closeup with Umpus for his bedroom! :)

I had a wonderful weekend with all of the talented attendees of workshop #2 and man, am I tired!!!  I promise that I'll be back for a full recap and also sneak peeks from this week's sessions!

Here's just one from our "real house" shoot on Sunday . . . Georgia, our bonus "model" and one of her best pals. :)

Kristina first contacted me over two years ago to inquire about gift certificates for members of her staff at James--what a thoughtful gesture! Remember these adorable little ones?

It's no surprise, then, that a James employee wrote to me when Kristina was expecting and we surprised her with a certificate of her own.  It was with great pleasure, then, that I finally greeted and photographed my "old friend" and her family this weekend. Kristina and her husband Jim clearly have a passion for life that's evident in their careers and no less so in the love they have for sweet D., 10 months old. He is clearly, clearly adored! It was a treat to spend the morning with them; here's a quick sneak peek of some of the moments we captured! We even caught a few teetering steps (very exciting!) and I can't wait to share them in the full gallery.

I adored the mural in D.'s nursery . . . you can see more of the same artist's work if you visit the James site. It was a treat to see it when we walked through the restaurant quickly to go outside (it also reminded me that I do not get out for dinner nearly as much as I should these days!).

Housekeeping note: I will be closed this Friday through Sunday for the second extraordinary workshop. All e-mails and phone calls will be returned beginning Monday. I can't wait to meet the new group of photographers who are flying in Friday but, if the last workshop is any indication, I will not exactly have time for e-mail! Thank you for your patience!

Meet C. and B., oh-so-adorable twins who recently turned one. Here is a quick sneak peek of their studio session from this week--proof to mom that, yes, they were still for at least 1/125th of a second!! :)  It was lovely meeting you, J. & J., and of course such fun meeting and photographing your sweet boys! Nothing beats that baby-almost-toddler giggle and joie de vivre.
