THE DIFFERENCE A MONTH MAKES

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing 11-day-old J. Just last month, I visited her building to meet "the bean" and braved several feet of snow in the process.  As I took a moment after the session to watch the passers-by enjoy the 70+ degree heat, I couldn't help but think what a difference a month makes.  And so it is for A. and R.  One month ago, though they knew the day was imminent, surely they could never have imagined the love that would enter into their lives with J.'s arrival.  Thank you for sharing these early days with me!  Here's a sneak peek for you while you await the gallery.

She reminded me of my own little girl at this age--lots of hair and intently interested in all that's going on around her!

SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!

Just a few quick answers to questions I feel I must address before my in-box fills with more queries . . .

1) Yes indeed, rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. :)

2) Yes, the studio is almost ready and YES, I will take many, many photos to show it off on the blog.  I promise!

3) Yes, there are new WordSmith products due within the next two weeks.

4) Yes, there are a couple of spots left in each extraordinary workshop . . . only one left for May 22-23rd, though!

5) Yes, I still have sessions available for spring! Weekend dates are booked through mid-May, but select weekday morning dates are still available.

6) Yes, I still love Bono.  Why is this even a question?

More questions? Ask me anything on Formspring. I promise to try to keep up! : )

Have a great day all and enjoy the beautiful (almost) spring weather!

A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE MISSIVE

Last month I had the pleasure of touring the new Two Paperdolls studio in Wayne and even caught a glimpse of the birth announcements being designed for my wonderful client E. Still, I was unprepared for the sheer delightfulness of the finished creation.  What a lovely surprise to find this in my mailbox. For those of us who love all things paper, Two Paperdolls cannot be topped.  I even picked up a couple of things from their Etsy shop yesterday.  Thank you to N. for showing me around, and E. for sending me the darling card announcing sweet Addie's arrival.

Remember this adorable girl and her mod nursery?

Prepare yourself for the deliciousness . . .

Oh, and a little certain someone wondered why SHE wasn't in the spotlight today.

AND THE WINNER IS . . .

LAURIE WOOD!  Come on down! (or up, or over!)  Congratulations to Laurie and many thanks once again to all who entered!  My super scientific random method included putting all of the comments that came in into a separate e-mail folder, making duplicate entries for those of you who tweeted etc but forgot to put an extra comment in, and also throwing in the names of those who have already registered for the workshop (just in case!). Add a random number generator and a five-year-old helper and there you are!

Laurie, send me an e-mail with your choice of date and I will get you all set up!

Thanks again to all who entered and all who will be attending.  You are the best!

LAST CHANCE . . .

UPDATE: Yay!  Everything seems to be working fine yet again.  Thank you for your patience!  For the record, I am using 1% of my bandwidth, so I don't think we were overrunning the server.  I say this, however, as someone who really has no idea if one thing relates to the other.  ha ha!  At any rate, we are back on track and all comments through 4:30 were accepted into the contest. Going to the Random Number Generator now and will be back at 5pm with the lucky winner AND a special time-sensitive announcement.

Comments for the workshop contest will be closed in one hour at 3pm EST. Enter now!

Be sure to check back at 5pm to see who has won AND for a special time-sensitive announcement for those who did not win but who still wish to attend.

Thank you! I have been thoroughly humbled by all of your kind remarks and appreciate them more than I can express.

Good luck, everyone!

p.s. Just in case this blog starts acting up again, I will post the winner + announcement over at the WordSmith blog as well (different hosts/servers).
